Job responsibilities would include the following:

• Program evaluation design.
• On-site observation of energy education and energy service delivery.

APPRISE has a position available for a Senior Research Director to design and manage energy program evaluation research projects.

Job responsibilities would include the following:

• Preparing detailed project work plans for client review and approval.
• Developing systematic procedures to collect and manage data.
• Contacting high level utility and program managers to obtain cooperation with data requests.
• Training and supervising a team of senior and junior staff members who are implementing the data collection task.
• Working with the database programmer to design reports to assess data acquisition progress.
• Assisting with proposals and budgeting.
• Learning our research process and managing additional research tasks.
• Conducting qualitative and quantitative research on energy programs.
• Preparing reports that communicate research findings to clients and other interested parties.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• Project management experience
• Data programming and analysis experience
• Social science research experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• 5-10 years of progressive staff and project management experience
• An advanced degree in a Social Science

• Designing and developing MS Access databases to collect and manage data.
• Teaching staff how to extract needed information and run reports from the databases.
• Using STATA to process and analyze data.
• Preparing reports that clearly document study procedures.

• Database programming skills
